Our Team is dedicated to helping clients achieve their long term goals and objectives, through proven & disciplined investment strategies. Our focus is on Retirement, Education and Estate planning goals tailored to the client’s specific needs and risk tolerance.

As a Wealth Management Team, we advise high net worth families, individuals and business owners. We provide complete and interactive wealth management strategies for the clients’ retirement, education, cash management and liability management needs. Our process is designed to offer guidance and a clear path towards reaching those goals which are individualized for each client and not pegged to a generic index return. Through this process, we monitor year to year changes in the clients’ financial needs, their progress towards their goals and their portfolio performance

Our Advisory Team Members

Daver Tiryakioglu, 1st Vice President-Investments, Wealth Management Advisor, joined Merrill Lynch in 1992. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. Daver has been and is active with Children's Hospital, The Merrill Lynch Invitational, Overlake Hospital Business Development and his church.

Mary Benedict, Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor, CIMA®, joined Merrill Lynch in 1990. She is a graduate of the University of Washington’s School of Business with a Finance Concentration. Mary holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from IMCA through studies completed with the Wharton School of Business.

Ben Duenwald, Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor, CFP®, CRPC®, joined Merrill Lynch in 1998. He is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus in Finance. Ben has been active on the Eastside as well as in Seattle in numerous philanthropies and community organizations.

Liz Strathy, Financial Advisor, joined Merrill Lynch in 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Washington. She has spent many hours serving on the board of Childhaven as well as many other eastside philanthropies.

Bill Kern, Financial Advisor, joined Merrill Lynch in 2009 following 20 years of distinguished service to his country in the Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. He earned a degree in Economics from Penn State, a Master’s from the Naval War College, as well as a Master’s in Family Financial Planning from Kansas State University. Bill’s true joy is coaching his boys’ hockey teams within the Everett Youth Hockey League.

Our Service Team Members

Kirsti Woods, Senior Associate, Essential Partner, joined Merrill Lynch in 1997. Kirsti is a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration. Kirsti has spent her time and resources walking for the Susan G. Komen foundation, as well as running a Girl Scouts troop.

Susan Hanneman, Registered Client Associate, Essential Partner, joined Merrill Lynch in 2011. Susan attended the University of Denver with a focus on economics. Susan is actively involved with a number of local philanthropies and organizations on the Eastside.

Tara Marinig, Client Associate, joined Merrill Lynch this year and works with us on a part time basis. She is currently studying at Bellevue College with hopes to transfer to the University of Washington to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus in Finance. Tara is involved with Swedish Hospital and the Shoes for Water foundation.
