PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Steve achieved his Certificate of Public Accountancy and worked as a tax and sports attorney in Seattle prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1994. Steve’s primary responsibility is managing equity and fixed income strategies. He also utilizes his legal and accounting background to partner with our clients’ advisors in developing effective income and estate tax strategies.*

Steve’s outside activities include serving on the Board of Directors at the Hope Heart Institute and at University Child Development School. Steve also chairs the annual NFL Alumni Hope Heart Classic and coaches youth basketball, baseball and soccer. Steve and his wife, Lisa, live in Seattle with their sons, Matthew and Kevin.

Rich Shrader graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Finance in 1972. Rich joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor in 1975 after working for three years as a financial analyst for The Boeing Company.

As a Senior Vice President, Rich's main areas of interest are building and developing investment portfolios with an allocation of stocks and bonds as appropriate for each client relationship. Rich recognizes the importance of continued learning and staying current with technology. As a result, Rich participates in many professional courses such as recent seminar sessions at Wharton in 2008 and Stanford in 2010.
