Raymond Ortiz, II , CSNA is currently a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management that specializes in providing recommendations and developing strategies to create risk adjusted investment portfolios to assist the affluent and high net worth with preserving and creating wealth. He attended the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University and graduated with a BS in General Studies with a concentration in Biological Sciences. He pursued his masters at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs at Cornell University and graduated with his MPA in Public Administration.
Due to his commitment to education and scholarly research, he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Public Administration at Rutgers University and he has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Management Department of the College of Business and Public Administration at Kean University.
Aside from academic achievements he has been engaged in community projects, organizations and outreach including: Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc and the Cornell Public Affairs Society. As a graduate student he was recognized for his commitment to academics and community service and was inducted into the Order of Omega as well as the National Scholars Honor Society.
He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ocean County, NJ. He is an active member of Mt. Zion Lodge #135 and the Knight of Columbus Council #3272. He is a member of the Metuchen Chamber of Commerce, Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International. He is also a member of various Cornell Alumni Associations including acting as Membership Chair for the Class Alumni Council.
He is passionate about philanthropies such as the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
He is a Certified Special Needs Advisor. He holds licenses for the Series 7, Series 66, Life & Health Insurance and also as a Realtor-Associate.
