PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Michael Orlowitz is a Vice President Senior Financial Advisor in Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth Management practice. Michael’s approach to wealth management is to work with a limited number of clients whose needs are complex and require a high degree of personal involvement. Mr. Orlowitz favors a “cradle to grave” approach to wealth management, with a relentless focus on managing risk. His education and experience in behavioral finance has helped educate and empower affluent family households and businesses in a global world of uncertainty.

Additionally, Michael specializes in working with women in transition due to divorce or widowhood. Many of these individuals were disenfranchised from the financial decision making process and find themselves both financially comfortable, yet vulnerable.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Orlowitz was a Vice President in the Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley. He began his career in finance as an Audit Manager at Arthur Andersen & Company and a Senior Consulting Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also served as a Senior Advisor to The Pitcairn Financial Services Group— a family run business center of the Pitcairn Family and other outside high net worth investors. Additonally, Michael served as exclusive Financial Advisor to the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians.

Mr. Orlowitz graduated with his MBA from Drexel University. He is a CPA® (non-practicing), a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (“CDFA™”) a Chartered Life Underwriter (“CLU®”), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (“ChFC®”). Mr. Orlowitz has also functioned as a Registered Principal and has passed the rigorous Series 3 and Series 4 exams.

His interests include running (where he placed in the top 10% of qualifiers, 1989 Boston Marathon), reading, writing and meditation.

Mr. Orlowitz’s Registered Client Associate is Jennifer Garomon. Jennifer also functions as assistant to the Resident Director of Merrill Lynch’s West Conshohocken branch.
