He passed the Certified Public Accountancy exam in Illinois in 1984 and the Certified Management Investment Analyst (CIMA®) exam in 2008.
Karl utilizes disciplined investment strategies to meet client goals while providing retirement planning, estate planning and traditional brokerage services. He is a trusted advisor to successful families, businesses and not-for-profit organizations in the Metro Chicago area. This includes corporate retirement plans such as 401k, profit sharing and deferred compensation plans. Investment strategies include individual stock/bond portfolios, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts.
Implementation of investment strategies is preceded by a review of the client's risk profile to determine the appropriate course for each client. Retirement plans take into consideration current assets, college funding needs, contributions to existing 401k plans, mortgages and other debt in order to determine savings and investment levels required to meet the client’s goals for retirement.

He is the past Treasurer of the Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce.
