The Maldonado Group is the premier wealth management advisory Team with over 80 cumulative years of financial service experience. Our Team certifications include Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), and CFM. The focus of our practice is to offer solutions for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans for business and non-profit organizations. Your business/organization is your life, and we vigorously work to make it easier using a process driven effort.
We strive to understand your goals as an employer. We have a process to assist you in selecting the most appropriate plan design and provider. Once the plan is in place, we monitor to ensure DOL Compliance and service the plan according to your specific needs. We assist in investment selection and employee education. We help you to understand your fiduciary responsibilities. We will periodically review the plan in the areas of performance, cost and employee participation; this includes a comparison to plans of similar size and demographics every 3 to 5 years.
Providing value is key. We strive to accomplish this through our expertise and service model. Our clients are our primary focus; they deserve added value from their 401K advisor. If you do not make good decisions in building the retirement plan’s basic foundation, then your employees cannot make their best choices.
Orlando Maldonado was educated at Yale University and shortly after graduating began his financial career in 1981 with E.F. Hutton, obtaining specialized training in qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, investment consulting concepts and practices for high net worth individuals and institutions. In 1983 he joined Shearson Lehman Brothers. During a ten-year period at Shearson, Mr. Maldonado served as a consultant to corporate and municipal retirements and to endowment funds as well.
From 1993 through Nov. 2006, Mr. Maldonado served institutional and high net worth individuals through the Consulting Services Group of Morgan Stanley.
In Nov of 2006, Mr. Maldonado joined Merrill Lynch serving clients in the same capacity through the Global Wealth Management division of Merrill Lynch and its Managed Solution Group investment platform, a fee based investment management consulting unit of Merrill Lynch. Mr. Maldonado is a First Vice President-Investments, serving clients throughout the United States.
He holds a Series 7 (Comprehensive Brokerage), a Series 63 (Interstate Brokerage), a Series 65 (Investment Advisor Representative), Health & Life Insurance license and a Series 31 (Futures and Commodities), allowing for a depth of financial knowledge. Additionally, he is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional. He serves clients throughout the United States; he currently services approximately 80 + relationships.
Mr. Maldonado resides with his wife and three children in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, part of York County.
Tara Maldonado was educated at Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a degree in sociology. She has been with Merrill Lynch since 2008.
She holds a Series 7 (Comprehensive Brokerage), a Series 66 (Interstate Brokerage & Investment Advisor Representative), and a Health & Life Insurance license, allowing for a depth of financial knowledge.
Ms. Maldonado is married and resides with her husband in Mechanicsburg, PA, part of Cumberland County.
Steven Schiavoni was educated at Drexel University, and he earned a Masters Degree from the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
He served as an officer in the United States Army for over 21 Years , retiring from military service in 1998; and, immediately joined Merrill Lynch as a financial prodessional.
He holds a Series 7 (Comprehensive Brokerage), a Series 66(Interstate Brokerage & Investment Advisor Representative), and a Health & Life Insurance license, allowing for a depth of financial knowledge. Additionally, he is a CFM.
Mr. Schiavoni resides with his wife and three children in Boiling Springs Pennsylvania, part of Cumberland County.
Steven Cohen graduated from Pennsylvania State University. After graduating from PSU, he served as the general manager of a five store retail chain. He then became vice president of sales and marketing for a national sporting goods importer.
He was recruited and offered a position with Merrill Lynch and has been with the firm since 1999. He holds a Series 7 (Comprehensive Brokerage), a Series 66 (Interstate Brokerage & Investment Advisor Representative), a Series 31 (Futures and Commodities), and a Health & Life Insurance license, allowing for a depth of financial knowledge. Mr. Cohen’s investment focus is on Alternative Investments (AI) and in liability management for institutions, businesses, and individuals. Additionally, he is a CFM.
Mr. Cohen resides in Lower Paxton Township, Pennsylvania, in Dauphin County, with his wife and two daughters.
Bill Lupi is an accomplished banker who provides banking solutions by matchingews clients' needs to the correct bank products and/or service. He has a strong retail credit and deposit background. Bill is a Wealth Management Banker within Wealth Management Bank’s Mid East Region.
We are excited to have “Bill” join our team as a Wealth Management Banker. He joins us from Wachovia Bank where he served as a financial credit leader focusing on client banking needs. Bill has 15 years of experience in the banking services industry and enhances our team by adding an advisory banking component - ssisting our clients with their deposit and credit needs, helping fulfill their entire credit banking needs, i.e., premier checking accounts, Merrill Lynch American Express Accolades cards, online banking, CD’s, auto loans, RV loans, mortgages, and other personal and business lending options.
Bill graduated from Radford University and currently resides in Mechancisburg, PA, in Cumberland County. He is involved in various community based activities - Boy Scouts of America, where he is an adult volunteer; YMCA, where he is an Adventure Guide Leader; and, the Red Cross, as a certified instructor for First Aid and CPR.
