PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Karla S. Miller, CFP® CRPC® CFM
Vice President
Wealth Management Advisor
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor SM
My goals are to give each client a “World Class” experience, to make each client confident about the health of his or her wealth, to earn the trust and confidence of my clients and to serve as their primary source of consistently reliable financial guidance. I serve the needs of high net worth individuals, companies, corporate executives, their families, friends, and affiliated organizations. I advocate a style that seeks first, the safety of principal and secondly, the growth of capital for the effective preservation and creation of wealth.
I utilize the best resources and talent for the benefit of my clients. This includes Merrill Lynch specialists (such as insurance, trusts & estates, lending, corporate retirement plans,…) and world renowned research. In addition, due to open architecture I have access to non-Merrill professional money managers and funds. This allows me to choose the best solution for each client's needs and risk preferences.
On a confidential basis, I work with each client, their legal and tax advisors. After thoroughly understanding their needs, objectives and unique financial complexities, comprehensive strategies are designed and tailored. This is a dynamic process that is monitored to maximize return and minimize risk.
Success is best demonstrated by the fact that clients are my greatest advocates.
With over 25 years experience as an investment professional including 15 years at Merrill Lynch Global Private Client Group, I have worked as stock and bond analyst as well as private placements and corporate finance.
I received my MBA in Finance/Marketing from the University of Chicago and BA in Music from Illinois Wesleyan University. I have completed the Certified Public Accountant exam, but am not acting as a CPA at Merrill Lynch. In addition, I received estate planning accreditation through the Canon Trust School and focuses on estate planning issues.
Previous positions include Vice President of Princeton Bank and Trust Private Bank Trusts and Investments, Stock Analyst with Deutsche Bank Investment Strategist, Corporate Finance Officer at Chase Manhattan Bank, Bond Analyst for Private Placements at MetLife Insurance.
