Jim focuses on fostering each client’s ideal retirement with intelligent wealth management, because he believes life after a career should be a source of excitement and inspiration, rather than financial concern. As a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (SM) (CRPC®) professional, Jim has completed rigorous education and a national examination to support his commitment to insightful retirement planning. He has also earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, awarded by The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. This has assisted him in helping to ensure that clients look beyond investing to address their complete, lifetime planning needs.

Jim joined Merrill Lynch in 2006 and began his financial services career in 2000. He graduated from Salisbury University in 1981, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Jim holds life, health, disability, long-term care insurance licenses, as well as the Certified Special Needs Advisor (CSNA) professional designation.

An active community member, Jim is involved in organizations including the Greater Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, Ocean City Reef Foundation and Ocean City Marlin Club — for which he also serves on the Board of Directors. He lives in Bishopville, Md., with his wife of 25 years, Alexa. They have two adult daughters and an eleven-year-old Labrador Retriever, Roxy.

Anna Giles CSNA
Financial Advisor

Anna began her financial services career in 2009 and joined her father at Merrill Lynch in 2011. As a Financial Advisor, she focuses on supporting clients at every life stage and believes The Giles Group’s multi-generational perspective provides investors with diverse insight that supports multifaceted planning.

Anna graduated from High Point University in North Carolina, earning a dual B.S. in marketing and entrepreneurship with a minor in studio art. Additionally, she has earned the Certified Special Needs Advisor (CSNA) designation and enjoys supporting clients with special-needs family members, emphasizing wealth preservation and a long-term strategy designed to provide financial security and ongoing care.

While attending High Point University, Anna served as the school mascot and dedicated herself to community service. She was the parliamentarian for Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity through which she spent her spring breaks rebuilding homes in Louisiana with Habitat for Humanity. Anna also volunteered with Special Olympics, highway clean-ups and local homeless shelters. She currently resides in Berlin, Md.
