PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Drew has 26 years experience in the financial services industry managing corporate and individual client relationships. During the past 16 years he has focused exclusively on the wealth management needs of high-net-worth individuals and families including investment management, retirement planning, education planning, insurance and estate planning, and mortgage and personal lending. Drew’s experience and accreditation as both a Certified FInancial Planner (CFP®) certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) awarded by the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA),qualify him to serve the multi-dimensional needs of affluent individuals and families.
Drew has made a conscious decision to limit the number of clients in his practice. This ensures his ability to deliver a premier wealth management experience to each client relationship. His objective with each client is to earn the right to serve as the client’s primary financial advisor. By being aware of not only the client’s balance sheet, but also their specific goals, objectives, concerns and values, Drew is able to be proactive in responding to the inevitable changes in the financial markets, the tax code and/or his client’s personal situation. He also works closely with the other key advisors in each client relationship, including legal and tax advisors.
The key component in all of Drew’s client relationships is trust. This includes trust in his honesty and integrity, putting the needs of his clients over his own, maintaining and enhancing his skills as a financial advisor and maintaining the confidentiality of each client’s personal and financial situation. He follows a four step process for each engagement including:
• Identify and prioritize the client’s financial goals
• Develop a strategy to achieve those goals
• Implement the strategy
• Monitor the plan and make adjustments as required.
While each client situation is different, Drew believes that a consistent process provides the framework for the focus, commitment and discipline necessary to help achieve the client’s goals and dreams. Drew is also a strong advocate of using the “open architecture” offered via Merrill Lynch’s Managed Solutions group to avail clients to the “best of the best” in terms of investment management. Similarly, the resources available to Drew via Bank of America and its affiliates allow him to seamlessly access banking, business, personal and mortgage lending, and Trust services where appropriate to meet his clients’ needs.
Drew received a B.A. degree in Economics from Washington & Jefferson College in 1983 and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. He and his wife Karen, both natives of Pittsburgh, live in Allison Park, PA with their three children. Drew is a board member of The Woodlands Foundation which provides programs for children and young adults with disabilities and chronic illness and a baseball coach in the Hampton Athletic Association.
