PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Daniel Thornton is a Senior Financial Advisor in the Charlottesville, Virginia office who joined Merrill Lynch in 2000. Daniel graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in economics and continued at UNC to complete his Masters degree. Daniel has also earned his Certified Financial Manager certification. He lives in Albemarle County with his wife, Amy and their three children. He is active in the Blue Ridge Mountains Rotary Club, First Baptist Church, and 3 on 3 For Community.

Daniel assists clients in developing long-term financial strategies designed to achieve their goals while minimizing risk. Using a managed money approach, Daniel guides asset allocation and diversification strategies appropriate for each client, their goals, and risk tolerance. He assists clients in their effort to manage retirement, college planning, second homes, and other goals.
