Baker duBois Baker was founded with the goal of being an essential multi-generational partner to those clients who have trusted us to advise on accumulating, preserving, using and distributing wealth.
Our group consists of experienced professionals who take a “hands on” approach to financial guidance. Not only are our team members extremely knowledgeable, but they truly care about helping each client achieve and maintain financial stability and independence. We do everything in our power to keep clients focused on where they want to go, advise them on how to get there, and continually remind them of the importance of maintaining a disciplined approach in realizing their dreams.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 1996, Charles served as a Supply Officer in the U.S. Navy for nine years with tours of duty aboard a ship and a submarine, and with a U.S. Navy special forces SEAL team. He is a 1987 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture. While serving as a Naval Officer, he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Old Dominion University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
Charles is a Portfolio Manager in the Personal Investment AdvisorySM Program. Through this discretionary program, he develops disciplined wealth accumulation and preservation strategies aligned with client objectives and risk tolerance. Charles is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and experience through public speaking engagements and is available to speak with most groups.

Michele duBois has been providing wealth management guidance and services with Merrill Lynch since 1994. Michele uses the vast resources and specialists of Merrill Lynch to develop disciplined strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida and stays active in the community through her involvement with several civic and charitable organizations both in Gainesville and her "hometown" Putnam County. Michele focuses on the wealth management needs of high net worth individuals and small businesses and stresses a long term approach to investing. She enjoys sharing her knowledge through public speaking and seminars on areas of retirement, business planning, and investing, but especially enjoys the long lasting relationships she has built with her clients.

As a Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor, Michael guides clients in all areas of wealth management, including, but not limited to: retirement and education planning, portfolio construction, liability management and insurance needs. Michael feels that commitment to the review process and accessibility in-between reviews are essential components in achieving the desired result with any investment portfolio.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2007, Michael spent three years living in China. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering. In addition, Michael holds the designation of CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM).
Michael is an active member of the North Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, FL as well as the Gainesville Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
