Roger Matloff, First Vice President, CFM, CIMA, AIF, ARPC, CAP™
Roger oversees analytical investment management programs for an extensive number of the team's foundation and endowment clients as well as providing philanthropic consulting on an institutional level. He oversees the development of customized asset allocation models, due diligence of investment managers through the application of qualitative and quantitative analysis and the continuous monitoring of performance to ensure clients’ investment objectives are met. His role as a philanthropic consultant encompasses working with the Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Management to increase organizational efficiency of the team's nonprofit clients through means such as; Charity Efficiency Analysis, Fund Raising Efficiency Analysis, Blind Risk Modeling & Dynamic Portfolio Optimization, and Investment Policy Development & Review among others.
Roger graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and received an MBA in Finance and Deterministic Optimization Modeling. Roger completed studies of Market Theory and Econometrics at Oxford University under a private foundation grant. He was subsequently chosen by the same foundation to study Political Economic Theory at Dartmouth College. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst, Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant as well as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy.
Roger has appeared on ABC, CBS, and Fox. He has been cited in The Wall Street Journal and Wall Street’s industry publication, Research. Roger co-authored the textbook "Molecular Investment Consulting for Philanthropies-A Holistic Approach for Nonprofit Management”.

Richard M. Ehrlich, First Vice President, CFM
Rick is a specialist in portfolio design and Investment Management Strategy. As a managing partner of our team he uses these talents when formulating sophisticated retirement plans as well as implementing various complex Trust and Estate techniques.
Rick has been managing portfolios on behalf of individuals for the past 28 years. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Rick was a Sr. Vice-President of the High Net-Worth Division of a major investment bank. Rick is frequently called upon as a keynote speaker at Merrill Lynch Investment Conferences for Wealth Management and Asset Allocation Modeling. Rick graduated from Syracuse University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Richard Slutzky, Financial Advisor, CFM, CAP™
Richard has over 24 years of experience in the nonprofit endowment field. His areas of consulting include: investment management, charitable administration, nonprofit and private foundation management, fiduciary oversight and governance, planned giving and endowment development. For over 12 years, he was First Vice President and Senior Philanthropic Consultant at the Merrill Lynch Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Management. He was responsible for nonprofit consulting for financial advisors throughout the Northeast and Florida.

For over eight years, he was the Director of the Jewish Community Foundation of Metro West, New Jersey. While there, he also served as Chief Executive Officer of a $73 million endowment fund. He helped raise more than $50 million in donor-advised funds, supporting foundations, and endowment funds. He also raised more than $60 million in deferred gifts, including charitable trusts, bequests, and gifts of life insurance. Richard developed a successful campaign for a legacy society to raise unrestricted and annual campaign endowments. Richard was also responsible for administering and managing over 400 separate funds for the Foundation.

Richard currently serves as Vice President of two large charities, Jewish Community Foundation of MetroWest,N.J. and Daughters of Israel Geriatric Center in West Orange, N.J. He is also a member of the Board of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY).

Richard is an accredited Merrill Lynch Certified Financial Manager (CFM) as well as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®, a designation he received from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. He holds Series 7 and 66 licenses. Richard practiced law in Kansas City, Missouri for four years

He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Emory University School of Law.

Christopher E. Raney, Vice President, CFM
Chris has been with Merrill Lynch over 27 years and he oversees administration and operation of the group. He manages our support staff to ensure the timely implementation of client investment strategies and services for all our clients. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Chris was the Senior Enforcement Investigator for the New York Stock Exchange. Chris graduated from Adelphi University with a B.B.A. degree in 1967 and spent two years in military service.

Matthew Manuwal, Financial Services Associate
Matt began his career with Merrill Lynch after earning his MBA from Xavier University and offers nearly seven years in investment research and consulting experience. He specializes in leveraging group knowledge and experience with the highest-level firm resources into innovative investment solutions and systematic client implementation. Matt is responsible for investment manager research, asset allocation monitoring, client reporting and alternative investments. Matt also earned his B.S. in Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Joshua Jespersen, Financial Advisor
Josh has been working with The Global Philanthropic Consulting Group for five years. His ability to take on the roles of both an analyst and a consultant has made him an indispensable and versatile resource to the group and its clients. Much of his responsibilities consist of building and implementing research models and analysis tactics in the philanthropic consulting sector. He is also an integral part of the teams advanced portfolio construction and maintenance process. Josh provides the team with a unique approach to both quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as to the team’s field-leading consulting techniques.
