Michael Stryker is a Financial Advisor and First Vice President-Investments in the New London Connecticut office of Merrill Lynch, where he has served clients since 1992. In 2010, Michael was recognized in Connecticut Magazine as a "Five Star Wealth Manager" for being among the advisors who scored highest in client satisfaction. Michael earned a BA degree from Connecticut College in 1986, where he majored in economics. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1987 at Eaton Vance Distributors, where he was a marketing representative.

Michael earned the Certified Financial Manager designation through Merrill Lynch in 1999. In 2007, he earned the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) through the College of Financial Planning. In 2009, he earned the Certified Special Needs Advisor designation (CSNA).

Michael works closely with his clients' certified public accountants and estate planning attorneys. He focuses his practice on risk management, retirement planning, strategic asset allocation, and alternative investments. He is currently President of the Thames Club in New London, Connecti-cut. He is an active member and past president of the New London Rotary Club. Those efforts were recognized in 2003 with the awarding of a Paul Harris fellowship. He also received the Carl Weis award for outstanding contributions to the club and his community. Michael has served as a guest lecturer at Connecticut College, teaching personal financial planning and investment management.
Michael lives in Ledyard, Connecticut with his wife Donna and daughters Danielle and Sarah. Together they enjoy golf, tennis, travel and music. Michael and his family have volunteered in the cast of Mystic Seaport's Lantern Light Tours. Michael plays guitar and sings with friends to help raise funds for a variety of charities
