PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Kris helps a select number of individuals, families, trusts and businesses establish financial goals, set strategy, implement solutions and review progress as part of his wealth management process. Using a holistic approach, Kris seeks to understand the goals, risk tolerances, and time horizons of his clients while addressing important issues such as retirement, estate planning, asset allocation, portfolio construction and educational planning. He works closely with his client's other professional advisors and has built his practices predominantly through the referrals and introductions made by existing clients and respected professionals.

Combined with the breadth and depth of services and resources offered by their parent company, Bank of America, Kris and the Merrill Lynch office in Portland are uniquely positioned to deliver sound advice and guidance, while having the resources to provide solutions for individuals and companies with both their financial assets, as well as their liabilities.

Born and raised just south of Boston in Dedham, MA, Kris earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 1989 as a Distinguished Military Graduate. He then entered the US Army as a 2nd Lieutenant entered active duty in that summer as an Armor Platoon Leader.

Kris was stationed in Erlangen, Germany with the 1st Armored Division and was deployed to the middle-east during Operation Desert Storm where he earned the Bronze Star for actions in combat.

While in Germany, Kris met and married Jennifer, a US Military Intelligence office, and both returned to the US in 1993 and settled in South Florida. After a one year position with Schlumberger Industries, Kris was recruited to join the Fort Lauderdale, FL office of Merrill Lynch and entered their training program to become a Financial Advisor. After successfully graduating this industry leading program, Kris continued to develop relationships with wealthy individuals and businesses. In 1998 Kris earned the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

In January 2001, Kris was appointed Resident Director of the Merrill Lynch office in Coral Springs Florida, and two years later, he was promoted to become the Resident Director of the Merrill Lynch office in Fort Lauderdale, at that time among the top 10 offices out of 300 in the firm in terms of total revenue, and productivity.

In December 0f 2004 Kris passed the Merrill Lynch Leadership Assessment Center in December of 2004 and relocated to Baltimore with his wife (Jerre) and two children (Kyle and Ryan) where he assumed the role of Associate Director and Sales Manager for Merrill Lynch’s Mid-Atlantic Region. In 2007, Kris then became the Director of the Cascade Complex where he led 130 Financial Advisors and 30 Support Staff in Oregon, based in Portland.

In February of 2008, Kris took the opportunity to return to the East Coast and assume the role as Resident Director of the Portland, Maine office which he held until July, 2010 when the Office had grown to become the parent office of the Northern New England Complex.
