Chris M. Hill, CRPC® Vice President

Chris, a Wealth Management Advisor, joined Merrill Lynch in 1997 after graduating from the University of North Carolina where he captained the Varsity Tennis Team his final two years. Chris currently serves as a Portfolio Manager in the Merrill Lynch PIA program. His responsibilites also include Private Banking, alternative investments, and market linked investments. Chris hold the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation. His CRPC® designation gives him extensive knowledge in Traditional IRA's, Roth IRA's, 401(k)s, Individual Deferred Compensation, and Social Security.

Chris is past President of the Board for the Raleigh Racquet Club, he is a current board member for the Raleigh City Museum, and is a former member of the Economic Development Task Force for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. He and his wife Debbie live in Raleigh with their three children, Ada, Kristian and Keller.


Clay H. Jackson, CRPC® Vice President

Clay attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. His career with Merrill Lynch Private Client Group began in 2000. As a Portfolio Manager in the Merrill Lynch PIA Program Clay’s primary responsibilities are the day to day management of the team’s discretionary investment portfolio and molding economic outlook with the team’s investment focus.

Within Jackson Hill & Chapman he also focuses on client solutions in the areas of wealth transfer and philanthropic planning. Clay is past board President of SAFEchild, a Wake County child abuse prevention agency. Currently he is a member of the NC Planned Giving Council and the Wake County Estate Planning Council.
Clay and his wife, Anna, live in Cary with their two children Luke and Parry Grace. When time allows he enjoys playing golf, fishing, and bird hunting.


Janet L. Kennedy, Client Associate

Janet joined Merrill Lynch in 2007 as a registered client associate, she brings with her over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and holds her series 7 and 63 licenses. Janet is responsible for all of the Team’s daily administrative functions. Often the first point of contact, she assists clients with a wide range of services from account administration, statement reviews, online access as well as assisting clients with banking and credit services. Janet lives in Smithfield with her husband Martin and two sons, Mathew and Kyle.
